Villa Decius Association is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 10th Polish Prize of Sergio Vieira de Mello, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003). Applications must be completed and submitted online between April 1 and June 30, 2013. Results will be announced on August 17 at the official ceremony at the Vila Decius during the international conference.

Following the initiative of the Villa Decius Association, the Prize of Sergio Vieira de Mello, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003) was established in the year 2003 with an aim to promote human rights, democracy and tolerance. The Prize is awarded to individuals and organizations from all over the world by the Award Committee composed of High Representatives of: the President of the Republic of Poland; Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Poland; Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Poland; UN High Commissioner for Refugees; Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Polish Commissioner for Civil Rights Protection; Embassies, Consulates and Foundations supporting actions of the Villa Decius Association in matters related to human rights; Founders of the Prize; Chairman and Director of the Villa Decius Association.
