The submitting of candidates for the Prize of Sérgio Vieira de Mello, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003) has been closed.
We would like to thank all the individuals and organizations for sending their nominations.
The meeting of the Panel of Judges selecting the laureats will be held in mid-October this year.
The award ceremony will take place online (via Zoom) on December 10, 2020.
The Laureates receive a personal Diploma and a statuette of Sergio Vieira de Mello designed by an outstanding Polish artist, Andrzej Renes. The Prize may also have a financial dimension.
