Villa Glamour, Open Day at Villa Decius!

 

The Villa Decius Cultural Institute invites you to a new series of concerts entitled: “Villa Glamour” organized as part of the Open Days. Chamber halls will be filled with music, words and visual creations. The artistic supervision over this initiative is exercised by the outstanding cellist Dorota Imiełowska from Krakow, who is a composer, arranger and animator of artistic events and cooperates with the Krakow Poetry Salon. She plays cello, morin khuur and saranga. Her repertoire includes classical, jazz, contemporary and ethno music. She gives concerts as a soloist and chamber musician in Poland and abroad. Privately, she is a cat lover.

 

 

During the first meeting at Villa Decius entitled “Love State… interrupted” we will listen to Argentinian, Russian and Spanish music, as well as poems by Józef Baran – an outstanding poet from Krakow, author of a number of volumes of poetry, whose work has been appreciated by many awards, including the Silver Cross Gloria Artis and the Award of the City of Krakow.

 

The poetic and musical event in Villa Decius will be accompanied by:

 

Mariola Cieniawa, an outstanding Polish pianist, winner of many international awards. As a soloist and chamber musician, she conducts active concert activity in Poland and abroad. She is a recognized teacher and juror in national and international competitions.

 

Łukasz Pawlikowski, has been performing on stage since the age of 6. Winner of international competitions, currently a scholarship holder of the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston, USA). He cooperates with such prominent artists as Krzysztof Penderecki, Kevin Kenner, Benjamin Zander and such American film music stars as Ramin Djawadi (making the clip Berklee with the music of Game of Thrones) or the creator of the legend of Metallica Michael Alago.

 

 

The artistic space of the chamber event in the historic halls will be created by the works of three authors. These will be the works of Anna Praxmayer, a well-known Polish sculptor who creates both small forms and medals, as well as monumental works, such as the construction of a 20-metre high monument in Milan. Her works can be found in several museums in Poland and abroad, including the Vatican and the collection of Queen Elizabeth II of England. The paintings by Agnieszka Praxmayer, born in Krakow, who studied in Paris and spent most of her life in France, will be completed. She creates landscapes inspired by travels, coral reefs and nature, she also specializes in portraits. He has an art studio in Sykesville near Washington. The reception of listeners will also be enriched by the works of Agnieszka Safińska, Renaissance artist, poet, painter and dancer. She is very active, has participated in many prestigious exhibitions, gaining excellent reviews of her works, and publishes several volumes of poetry.

 

During the open day on Sunday, August 25th, it will also be possible to visit Villa Decius, a unique object, important for the history of the city and connected with the culture of the 16th century, accompanied by a guide.
