The Villa Decius Association at the Conrad Festival

On 21 – 27 October, Krakow – the UNESCO City of Literature will host the 5th Joseph Conrad International Literature Festival, partnered by the Villa Decius Association. We are particularly warmly inviting you to participate in the events organized by us, such as the SAGA creative writing workshops for senior citizens, whose formula will be presented to the festival audiences on Wednesday 23 October in the Arteteca Public Library (ul. Rajska 12).

On the same day at 6:30pm, the Goethe Institute (Rynek Główny 20) will host a meeting “The geography of memory” with the participation of Hans Peter Kunish and Mario Kaiser, the grant holders of the Creative Grants 2013 programme.

On Thursday 24 October at 12:00am the literary café, Cafe Szafe at ul. Felicjanek 10 will present an exceptional literary slam, entitled “Visegrad +”. Our grant holders will meet on one stage to involve their audience in a twisted, multi-threaded, multimedia story about the literature of the five Visegrad countries. Our performing guests will be: Ivan Štrpka – Slovak poet, András Forgách – Hungarian playwright, Ivana Myškova – Czech writer, Anka Herbut – Polish playwright, and the author of popular radio plays from Germany – Christian Hussel.
