A concert to Commemorate Victims of the Great Famine on Ukraine (1932-1933). Villa Decius, November 26 (Monday), 18:00.

On Monday November 26, 2018 Villa Decius Society would like to invite to a concert to commemorate Victims of the Great Famine on Ukraine (1932-1933).

 

Poetic-musical evening “Pamięci Ofiar Hołodomoru” (In Rememberance of the Victims of the Famine) by Olesia Zdorowecka (voice, the piano, visualization).

 

“We are descendants of a more complicated history… our history of catastrophes and remembrance thereof taught us the most important thing – not to be a victim, nor executioner, nor an indifferent witness.”

 

Olesia Zdorowecka is a Ukrainian artist from Kiev. Since 2012 she has been living and creating in Europe. She is co-operating with international artistic formations and carries out her own projects. Olesia is most interested in jazz, folk and experimental music. She composes musical pieces for theatrical performances, films and contemporary ballet. A co-founder of Ukrainian-Irish cultural platform UI and a curator of a poetic-musical initiative “PHONICA” in Dublin.

 

The event organised under the auspices of Consul General of Ukraine in Krakow.
