We would like to invite you to the Villa Decius, for the events opening the 12th Court Dance Festival “Cracovia Danza,” as well as this year’s edition of workshops and historical dance shows. On Saturday, 30 July, the spectacle “A la Cracovienne” by the Krakowiacy Song and Dance Ensemble and the Cracovia Danza Court Ballet, will be performed on an outdoor stage. It will introduce the leitmotif of this year’s festival, which is folk dance in the court dance, and ballet. This theme will also be tackled during lectures prior to the exhibition “Folk Costume – its Faces in Court Dance and Ballet,” that will open a day later.
From 31st July to 5th August, in Villa Decius, Court Dance Workshops will be conducted in several thematic parts: Polish, English, Italian, French, Indian – Kathak dances; flags juggling, mime, stage make-up and a part for children. The workshops will be accompanied by lectures on folk dance and evening early dance shows on the outdoor stage. After the workshops, dancers will leave the Villa Decius and will participate in the events of the very Festival Finale (5 – 7 August).
