Court Dance Festival “Cracovia Danza” – 29 July – 3 August, 2012. The main theme of this year’s 13th edition of the Festival of courtly dancing in the 18th century. During the inauguration of the Festival and Workshops of Court Dances on 29 July at 7 p.m. in the Villa Decius an open-air dance performance entitled “On the Stages of the 18th-century Europe” by the Court Ballet “Cracovia Danza” will be presented. This evening will also include the opening of the exhibition “Heroes of the Comedy Dell’Arte” (curated by Monika Polak-Luścińska). Moreover, from 30 July to 3 August the Villa Decius daily hosts historical dances shows (7 p.m.). Both shows and accompanying events at the Villa Decius are free. Workshops on court dances (upon previous registration).
As part of the “Cracovia Danza” Court Dance Festival, the Villa Decius (30 July – 3 August 2012) hosts workshop on court dances (Baroque, English – country dances, the 17th-century Italian, French Renaissance, 18th-century Polish, Indian court dance “kathak”) and pantomime, Commedy Dell’arte, as well as of historical flags juggling. Traditionally, there also be court dance workshops for children.
