Apart from experts and intellectuals, we host ambassadors, ministers, representatives of the European Union, scientists, politicians, businessmen, journalists, artists, representatives of national and local authorities, as well as non-governmental organizations. The School participants will be involved in preparation of projects within the scope of international cooperation and will take an active part in the cultural life of Kraków; during a study trip, they will learn about cultural heritage of Małopolska. Some of the debates, lectures and meetings will be open for the public.
The Visegrad Summer School has been organized every year since 2002 by the Villa Decius Association. Commencement of a substantive discussion in a group of outstanding experts and intellectuals enables the students a more efficient evaluation of phenomena and offers a chance for getting to know the stances and the motivation of partners. The project has been distinguished by the International Visegrad Prize established by the ministers of culture of Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
