With great regret we bid farewell to Professor Krzysztof Penderecki – an outstanding composer, conductor, educator, world-renowned promoter of Polish culture, present among the members of the Villa Decius Association from the beginning of its activity. With his work, Professor Krzysztof Penderecki not only demonstrated his great talent, but also contributed to a peaceful dialogue between nations.

We especially remember the last meeting at Villa Decius – a monographic concert of his work a capella in December 2017 and the discussions accompanying it. His passing away is an irreparable loss for us.

We express our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
