Visegrad Summer School – a two-week program of trainings for young people from the Visegrad Group and Eastern Europe countries, implemented annually since 2002. The aim of the project is to increase knowledge about regional and global challenges, eliminate mutual stereotypes, build bonds and friendly contacts.
The participants of the program are students, postgraduate students, young teachers and journalists from four countries of the Visegrad Group and other European countries. In the past editions of the School there were over 500 participants from: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Some of the debates, lectures and meetings are open to the public.
Lectures, workshops and debates are conducted by outstanding experts representing various fields of knowledge and public activity. Apart from experts and intellectuals, we host Ambassadors, Ministers, representatives of the European Union, academics, politicians, businessmen, journalists, artists, representatives of administration, local government and NGOs.

The program of the Visegrad Summer School includes economic, political and social issues as well as the historical and cultural context of relations between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. School participants are also involved in the development of international cooperation projects and present selected aspects of the traditional or modern culture of their countries, which allows them to confront the often superficial reality of knowledge of neighbouring countries and nations.
By engaging in substantive discussions among outstanding experts and intellectuals, students can evaluate phenomena more objectively and can learn about the positions and motivations of their partners. The project has been awarded the International Visegrad Prize established by the Ministers of Culture of Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
