We encourage you to attend a cycle of concerts that will take place in Villa Decius in November and in December. The program will include, among others, works by Frédéric Chopin, Marek Raczyński and Krzysztof Penderecki.

On Sunday 12th November at 5.00 pm, you will learn how to tell stories in a manner that will intrigue the widest possible audience from Jasper Visser – a social and cultural innovator helping institutions and organisations from cultural sectors to establish contact with the audience and support community-building processes.

List powstał z inicjatywy Stowarzyszenia „Willa Decjusza” – organizacji członkowskiej Grupy Zagranica.

The Villa Decius Association invites you to take part in a study visit encompassing monuments in the Małopolska region, which include important works from the Renaissance period. The program consists of a visit to Miechów (the Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre – a field lecture by Professor Paweł Pencakowski and the Museum of the Miechów Region – a study visit, a presentation of works by Erasmus from the collection of Knights of the Holy Sepulchre). Participation in the study visit is free. The number of places is limited.

On 19th October, the Polish Prize of Sérgio Vieira de Mello, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2002-2003), was granted. Archbishop Alfons Nossol received the prize in the Person category. The winner of the prize in the Non-Governmental Organisation category was the Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF).

October 19th is the start of a two-day international conference entitled “Academic Freedom. Does it still matter?” which constitutes a continuation of meetings devoted to the idea of freedom, organized in Villa Decius. We dedicate this event to Prof. Felix Kaputu from the Democratic Republic of Congo, 10 years in exile and recently hosted by the Villa Decius Association, and to the Scholars at Risk Network members who protect scholars and promote the freedom to think, question and share ideas.
