The program of the event:
12.00 pm – A meeting with performers of the concert and a film recollection – scenes from the past.
1.00 pm – A recital: “Who sings such songs today?”. Wojciech Dawid Terechowicz (vocal) and Sabina Kołodziej (piano) will perform popular old songs both from the prewar and postwar period that can rarely be heard today but are still alive in people’s memory. The performers will invite the audience to recollect the past together, to watch film scenes and to sing or or even dance together.
The results of the residency programme of Kraków UNESCO City of Literature have been announced! Grigory Semenchuk (Ukraine), Mark Pająk (Great Britain), Hera Lindsay Bird (New Zealand), Louis Klee (Australia) and Núria Añó (Spain) will visit Kraków this year under the Residency Programme – a project addressed to young and rising talents from Cities of Literature owned by the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. Villa Decius is the official partner of the project.
Inspired by their visit to Villa Decius in November last year, students of Year 3 of Culture Animation at the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University of Kraków prepared an exhibition referring to the space and history that they had learned about. The vernissage will take place in the Gallery of the Faculty of Art of the Pedagogical University of Kraków on Tuesday 27th February at 5.00 pm (ul. Mazowiecka 43).
We invite you to the first event to held under the Intergenerational Academy of Music cycle. The program of the event: 12.00 pm – a lecture by Agnieszka Draus, PhD, and an interview with the performer of the concert,
1.00 pm – a piano recital by Krzysztof Książek – an outstanding young pianist. The repertoire will include Modest Musorgsky’s cycle Pictures at an Exhibition. Admission is free.
The Senior Activity Centre is a project aimed at integrating and stimulating the activity of persons aged 60+, to broaden their knowledge, cultural competences, creative and social potential. The project is addressed to 70 direct recipients.
