(POL) Będzie to ośmiodniowe (24 listopada –1 grudnia 2019 r.) wydarzenie odbywające się na terenie Krakowa przy zaangażowaniu dzielnic znajdujących się na obrzeżach miasta. Wydarzenia będą realizowane we współpracy z NGO działającymi na rzecz cudzoziemców, integrującymi mniejszości narodowe z lokalnymi społecznościami, a także z pracodawcami zatrudniającymi obcokrajowców, uczelniami i szkołami, instytucjami miejskimi, a także społecznością lokalną. The Visegrad Literary Residency Program, established 2012 by the International Visegrad Fund, consists of a series of residency stays and literary events addressed to writers of fiction and non-fiction, poets, essayists, critics as well as literary translators, publicists and journalists from the Visegrad Countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia).
The 16th Sérgio Vieira de Mello Polish Prize, established by the Villa Decius Association to honor individuals and non-governmental organizations for their efforts to promote peaceful coexistence and cooperation of societies, religions and cultures, was held on October 24, 2019. At the beginning of September, four artists came to Villa Decius in Krakow, who will spend the next three months on a literary scholarship as part of the Visegrad Literary Residences, working on their projects and becoming part of Krakow’s literary life.

It is with great regret that we inform you that Laszlo Rajk, a former oppositionist, outstanding architect, filmmaker, academic lecturer and our long-standing Friend, passed away on 11 September. His knowledge and commitment to freedom and truth, human rights and solidarity have been and remain a signpost for us in difficult times.
